How to cancel a recent purchase

When can I cancel a purchase for a Local deal? 

  • We honor refund requests for Local deals 3 days after the purchase date
  • Within 1 day of purchase, you can cancel an order in My Groupons
  • Once you view your voucher, you can’t cancel your order
  • If it's been 2 to 3 days from purchase, contact us via live chat or email, and we'll assist with canceling
  • After 3 days from purchase, all sales are final

Other deals:

  • Goods items can be canceled within 2 hours of purchase
  • GrouponLive event deals can only be canceled on the day of purchase
  • You can't cancel deals you purchased as gifts—contact us via live chat or email, and we'll assist with canceling

On a Computer

  • Go to My Groupons, click View Details on your order, then click Edit Order or Cancel Order
  • To update order quantity, increase or decrease the quantity and click Update Order. You can't update to a quantity of 0
  • To cancel an order all together, click “I’d like to cancel my purchase," located below the Update Order button. Select a reason for cancellation and click Cancel Order. You'll receive a confirmation email after your order has been cancelled
On a Mobile Device
  • iPhone app: to cancel, tap on your order, then tap Cancel Order, select a reason for cancellation, and tap Confirm Cancellation—to edit without canceling, you'll need to use a computer
  • Android app: you can't edit or cancel on Android, you'll need to use a computer

 

Note: you cannot edit an order to retroactively apply a promo code.

If you paid with Apple Pay, once an order is completed you cannot edit it. You can cancel and repurchase a deal if the Cancel Order link is available. Orders purchased with Apple Pay can only be cancelled using the Groupon app.

If the Edit Order and Cancel Order links are not active, then you can't edit or cancel any longer.
